Anyone know if there's a way to get an RSS feed for this forum? If not any admins want to add that functionality :)

When phpBB releases Version 3.0 (Olympus) tomorrow, it will have an RSS feed mod available. I'm going to test it for a few days on a test site, then it will go "live." Sometime after that, I'm going to be adding a few mods, including the RSS feed. There are some interesting portals available and I may do that as well, but that will be well down the road.

Guy's and Gals,

Most of you have no idea what running a forum is like. This is no easy task and Chas is doing this for everyone's benefit. RSS is just one of dozens of self-educated, Google searching, bulletin board begging, Linux upgrades that take days and sometimes weeks to bring up on a test server before cut-over. Even then there are little annoying glitches that pop up and take hours to fix.

In the mean time, there is family, friends, work, and oh ya...that hobby we all love.

Hats off to you Chas, and the team of volunteers for keeping this place humming.

Easy there Chief, y'all don't know me well enough yet to be call'in me "sir". ;-)

By the way...could you turn on a video section in your spare time? I'd like to see some tactical content.

Kidding - really a great forum. Hang in there and Happy Holidays to everyone working this site.

I do appreciate everyone that spends their spare time to keep this running. However I do work at a website and know from first hand experience we do make decisions on what features to add based on user requests.

Didn't mean to jack your thread, just thought this was a good opportunity to say thanks for the effort. From personal experience I can tell you that a web forum is almost like one of your kids. You watch it constantly, make sure it behaves, and are always looking for ways to help improve it.

Don't get me wrong, RSS is a great feature and I support the request as well. A gallery like "Coppermine" is also nice for adding photo and video content.

The more requests the better. Just making a point that Chas and team don't do this for a living, its a community offering.

I didn't see the familiar RSS feed icon anywhere poking around. Just wanted to check if I should be expecting that feature or if it's not available. Will do some phpBB research on my own later on but I'm about to take off and wanted to see if anyone could save me some time

Has there been any news concerning the RSS feed for this forum? I am not chastizing, I am just curious. Thanks to all who make this forum possible. :clapping:

The last time I checked the phpBB website, the RSS mod was not yet "blessed" by the support team.
