Or use MAC filtering. Your router can broadcast all it wants; if only the computers you yourself control can connect (and traffic is encrypted so they can't "drive-by" with a packet sniffer to get your MAC) then there's no problem.

mac spoofing is a common attack method against wlans. But the nice thing is, since its an active attack, you will notice it. The pc they are spoofing will loose connection over and over again. This is how they capture authentication packets to collect IVs faster for cracking wpa and wep.

But.... if they are going that far to get into your wireless and want it that bad, they will get in. This would be more something to worry about in an apt setting where you have multiple people around you at all times that you dont know.
