Firefox Add-ons
I've been using firefox for a while and really like it. I had some add-ons that I really liked.
They switched out my laptop at work yesterday and now I don't have them anymore.
Two specifically that I'm looking for are 1)the on that will shorten the tab by double clicking on it and 2) the one that will run internet explored on a page if needed.
Also, what are some of your favorite add-ons?

I haven't been perusing Firefox much lately for extensions, but it's my primary browser across four machines that I frequent.
Here is the extension homepage. https://addons.update.mozilla.org/en-US ... wse/type:1
Down in the right hand side, middle of the field is Tab Scope. But I'm not sure if that's one of them you need.
There are literally thousands of extensions now.
I use the Ad Blocker Plus extension, and the updates. I also had the FLV video capture for YouTube, etc. But every machine I'm on is new, and I haven't installed everything on them, yet.

I can't help with the second one, but the first is probably IE Tab.. It allows IE functions to run embedded in a Firefox tab. Get it from the Mozilla extensions page.Lumberjack98 wrote:Two specifically that I'm looking for are 1)the on that will shorten the tab by double clicking on it and 2) the one that will run internet explored on a page if needed.

My most used extension is probably Cooliris Preview. It allows previewing a page or thread in a forum by rolling over the title without opening a new tab or window, if that makes sense....kinda hard to describe, but very helpful and a big time saver if you spend way too much time on web forums like I do.

I found the tab "shortener" here:

Any other add ons that are must haves that have not been listed?

Re: Firefox Add-ons
Here's what I use. Some are superfluous, but the most useful to me are #'s 2, 4, 5, 7, 10, 12, 14, 16, 21, 24. If you use alot of extensions, then the FEBE one is a must as it will back up all of your extensions etc. I'm also a privacy freak when online so most of the others I've listed have to do with that.

Re: Firefox Add-ons
Another vote for Adblock Plus.
I also use "User Agent Switcher" for lame websites that say they require Internet Explorer. I can fake 'em out, as long as they arent using stinky ActiveX controls.
There's also Refcontrol, to worry about sites that get finicky about referrers. If you need that, you'll know it.
