Pay Pal and Firearms
Does Pay Pal have any issues with Firearm related items?
Do they have any Anti-gun political positions?

I posted here
then...
did a Google search
I am done researching Pay Pal.
I am not willing to use them if they may be perceived to be anti-gun.

Re: Pay Pal and Firearms
Just to be clear, PayPal will cancel an account if they find out that it is used for any firearms transaction. They are aggressive about it.
Search Google for "pro-gun alternative paypal." There are several. I have no first-hand experience with them.

Pay Pal transaction for a box of rocks?

Re: Pay Pal and Firearms
I have used my PayPal Mastercard/ATM Card to pay for two firearms, and that card is basically an ATM card which hits my PayPal account. There was never any issue, but they were not online transactions. One was an H&K pistol purchased at Sportsmans Warehouse in Lewisville (before they went out of business). The second was a Bushmaster varmint rifle, also at Sportsmans Warehouse (during their going out of business sale). In each case however, I used the card to pay for part of the sale, and cash to pay for the rest, so perhaps it didn't show up as a firearms transaction.
I confess that this is the first I've ever head of such a policy on the part of PayPal.

Re: Pay Pal and Firearms
I guess I'm not surprised. I never am anymore. I just didn't know.

Re: Pay Pal and Firearms
Paypal suspended my account for having the word "GLOCK" in the subject line.
I was buying a GLOCK t-shirt, but apparently it was worth suspending my account for 3 months while they "investigated".

Re: Pay Pal and Firearms
Why give them a chance to make money off of your "rocks"? If they find out it's a gun (or ammo, or gun parts), they will seize your funds, freeze your money, close your account, and you'll only get it back after weeks of stonewalling.Molon_labe wrote:Pay Pal transaction for a box of rocks?
PayPal is bad for many reasons, not just their stance on guns.

Re: Pay Pal and Firearms
I didn't realize they had gotten so bad. Several years ago I purchased some magazines for an old handgun. I even bought them off gunbroker.com. There were no problems at the time.

Re: Pay Pal and Firearms
I just used Pay Pal to pay for a training course at KR. The funds went into Pay Pal from another instructor who had cancelled a course. So apparently they are antigun but not anti gun training. Odd

Canceled both my PayPal and Ebay accounts because of their anti-gun stance.
