Question about the forum

I can honestly say I'm not the most savvy person when it comes to forum software and how it works but I can't seem to find something that i have found on other forum sites. That is the feature to mark all messages read so I can start keeping up with all the new ones. I know in the search feature I can select message for 1 day or 7 days and so forth but that seems cumberson to me. Does this software not work that way? No biggy if it doesn't, I'll just have to change the way I do things. I guess I'm being lazy.
Thanks,
Jessie

Welcome to the forum.
If you use this link, it will show the newest messages:
Code: Select all
http://www.texasshooting.com/TexasCHL_Forum/search.php?search_id=newposts
You will have to copy this entire link out of this message and paste it into the address bar of your web browser. Then you can bookmark or add it to your favorites, if you are using Internet Explorer.
Also, the icon next to each topic, which looks like a circle with horizontal lines in it, will be red if you haven't viewed the topic, and gray if you have.

Howdy Jessie. Welcome to the forum!
On the main index page, on the right hand side near the top, there's a
Mark forums read link.
On the index page for a forum on the upper right, there's a
Mark topics read link to mark messages in that forum as read.
Also, the
View new posts link Seamus mentioned is on the left side of the main index page. I use that a lot.

Thank you very much guys on the suggestion. What is the ol phase, "if it was a snake it would have bit" me. I've been around it many times but it never it stuck out. I guess I need a bunch of flashing around it with arrows and lighting reading "READ ME! READ ME!"
Thanks again guys I think I will be able to get around a little easier. So much info and so many work hours to waste reading it. (Laughing)
