I have not tried the RC, but I have pre-ordered the Professional Version for 99.00 and it will be shipped to me on Oct 22nd.

Is it stable, and worth upgrading from Vista SP2?
I am running Windows 7 RC with the Office 2010 Tech Demo. It is stable for the most part. I have had one lockup that was bad enough to have to power down the PC and reboot. I would not run it as my main OS as it is only a RC and has a time-bomb. I resized my partition with Vista and installed 7 to the Second partition. I would recommend that you do it that way.

Either way, it is still worth giving it a try. There are a lot of improvements over Vista.

I've been dabbling with it, I've been fairly happy with it too, but I refuse to use it as my primary OS until at least 6 months after the full release.

I've got a good feeling about windows7, unlike what I had with vista. Boy, that feeling of dread turned out true for the first year or two lol, but now its at least decent.

:iagree: I agree for the most part, in my case I'll wind upgrading my primary work pc to Windows 7 at work once it's released. I tested the first public release of Windows 7 and was surprised how stable it was, compararing to other beta Windows releases. I have a few installs at home on my laptops, and noticed a few quirks I couldn't get by with, and reverted back to Windows XP after a few months.

It'll be "fun" testing WIndows 7 with all design and engineering applications at my company once it's released...yay...
