IMO, this is why there should be a "try again" box on the ballot; if it gets more than, say, 30% of the vote, the existing candidates are removed, and the process starts over with new primaries.frankie_the_yankee wrote:But if he (Obama) was running against Rudy, who would all those gun owners be voting for?

So if Barak Hussein "ban them all" Obama is running against Rudy, who are you gonna vote for? Barak? Rudy? Or "Slow Wheat"?
All I know is that if gun owners stay home or vote Slow Wheat, we'll be swearing in President Obama a year form now. And you know what kind of SCOTUS judges and FCC commissioners he will appoint.

The fact that that scares you, scares me. Nothing personal, but if you can't trust a man to uphold his oath of office, how can you trust him at all?lawrnk wrote:Paul has awesome ideas, and I agree with him more than any other candidate, but he scartes me to death. Too ambitious in dismantling the federal goverment, and votes NO on anything that is not in the constitution.
The first thing every elected official does is swear to uphold and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic (etc.). Voting NO on anything that is not in the Constitution is precisely why Ron Paul is the only candidate qualified for the job.
Those thousand things all violate their sworn oath and solemn promise. Ron Paul being left standing alone to vote "no" is a shameful indictment of the other 534, and an indication of how far we have retreated from honoring the restraints of the Constitution.Politicians have a thousand things to do every day (and even vote on) that are not related to the constitution. some of the stuff he votes no on is ridiculous.
Slickabee. "A Place Called Hope -- The Saga Continues". I like Mike -- he's smart, funny, quick-witted, a great preacher, and I hope he never holds elected office again. Except for the serial adultery, he's Bill Clinton all over again.Huckabee- I'm only now starting to pay attention but I fear he has signifigant skeletons in the closet. Time will tell.
