Small People
After all the hype on H.R. 5175 - The Disclose Act is dead.
I was wondering if the Small People that have been complaining about the NRA’s tactics on this bill will admit that they were wrong and the NRA was right?
Yes, I am irritated.

Re: Small People
Probably not. I got an email from Gun Owners of America stating (I'm not quoting) that despite the NRA's "sellout" their grassroot efforts won the day. Everybody who wants to raise money for their cause spins the news to make their position look like the right one and everyone else's to be the wrong one.
The Constitution preserves the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation where the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. James Madison

Re: Small People
I got the same email from the GOA.
I am getting really tired of pro-gun / pro-2nd amendment organizations spending more time bashing the NRA than trying to achieve gun owners goals.

Re: Small People
Name one thing that advanced gun rights in this country that came about specifically because of GOA without any help from the NRA. There is nothing. Compared to the NRA, GOA is really small potatoes.

Re: Small People
I used to think the GOA and the NRA were playing "Good Cop / Bad Cop" with congress critters.
When the cops do it, they are trying to accomplish the same goal. The GOA seems to just curse the darkness and the NRA, while the NRA is attempting to light a candle.

Re: Small People
While I support the NRA, I feel that they were wrong about hr5175. If that makes me a small person then well I'm ok with that. Like I said I still support the NRA but here is the vote results of the dead bill:

It's too late at night for me to write down my thoughts on this subject. Maybe tomorrow.

I thought you were going to talk about The Little People of America. That brought back memories about one gal I dated

Name calling is always a good way to get people who otherwise agree with you on 99% of issues to join your organization. Just saying.tomneal wrote:After all the hype on H.R. 5175 - The Disclose Act is dead.

I'm glad the bill is dead. I still disagree with NRA's decision. But I agree to disagree without resorting to name calling.

The Bill is not dead. In fact it has passed, so now its time to please call our Senators so hopefully it will die.austinrealtor wrote: I'm glad the bill is dead.
