MY WAIT IS FINALLY OVER

Called Dps yesterday and they told me my application has been approved and it should be in the mail within the next week.

Here's my timeline

Nov 22 - Chl Class completed
Nov 23 - Application Submitted
Nov 24 - Fingerprints Submitted

I mailed all documents the 23rd Priority Mail

Submitted documents through email late decemeber. Received confirmation email December 28th

Called Dps yesterday 8 Jan, and Plastic should be in mail next week :D

What phone # did you call? I always get a message saying to high call volume then they hang up!

I called the number on their website , either call early around 7am when they open . That's when I'll call or just during random times and I'll wait it out .

Well I tried calling early this morning like you suggested, same message then they hang up, they won't even allow you to wait on hold till someone's available. Still no answer to my email.

This is my first post here so forgive me if this is a stupid question but what do you mean when you say you mailed all of those things priority mail but also submitted them electronically? Just covering your bases?

Reason I ask is because I submitted everything electronically and got my confirmation email on 12/28 as well so your post gave me a big shot of hope.

Once I submitted my application online, the next day I submitted my documents through mail "Next Day Priority". I wasn't sure if my package was lost in the mail. So last month I submitted it electronically.

I'm sure they received the actual mail by now though. But I just submitted it electronically just to speed it up a little bit. I would still wait a little bit before calling them and asking for a status.

Sometimes it will go through to give you a message saying "your approx wait time 17min or whatever" If you get that message just stay on the line until someone finally answers. You just have to keep calling through out the day. Just be patient it'll come.

Congrats first of all Dwats21! Can you give us your EXACT timeline & what you sent in & how you sent it in please? If you sent in everything late December ( some of us) are curious as to why they said (I spoke to them myself) last week that they're still finishing up November app's. They're folks who still haven't received theirs from end of November & beginning of December. Thanks.

I don't know if being military has something to do with it or not. I also do have a clean background with nothing on it. If that matters or not.

Like I said. You have to repeatedly call them over and over. You won't get them if you call two or three times. Be persistent. It's not that hard.
