-Took CHL class May 16th.
-Submitted paperwork electronically to DPS on Oct 19th.
-Confirmation email received on Oct 19th.
-F.A.S.T Documents submitted Nov 2nd.
-Confirmation e-mail F.A.S.T Docs received Nov 3rd.
-Received letter from DPS on Dec 22nd saying they didn't get my CHL-100.
-Sent hard copy of CHL-100 on Dec. 23rd.

Have not heard a word since.

Attempted to check on status of app online but when I put in my license # and D.O.B, it doesn't show anything.

Called (512) 424-7293 and just got the automated msg.

Still waiting...

I would go ahead and call now. I know things get backed up at the end of the year and the first part of the new year, but if they have reached out to you for paperwork they didn't have, and you've sent it, I would think that the site should show some sort of progress. I would expect it to sit at the background check in progress status for a while, but if nothing's showing up, something doesn't seem right.

I've seen apps go through in as little as three weeks from submission to plastic in hand, but those were electronic from soup to nuts.

It will not show anything online until you are approved. I would call them to make sure they have everything they needed from you.

Thanks guys. I'm just gonna wait patiently. If I don't hear anything by end of month or so, I'll call them...

Still nothing...

Y'all don't think that the waiting/processing time is a little more than 2 months because of the demand ??

I'm sticking to calling in Feb.

that website will never update until probably after you have the plastic in hand. today marks about 68 days for me. never received letters from dps or anything. I called on the first and was told my application was on hold for a tech to review since December 18th. called again on Friday and was put on hold for a minute, then told my application had been approved and was being sent to me. the website has yet to update for me. I would call and make sure everything is in order, you are paying for a service, and should be able to call to make sure its moving along.

68 days?? Was there a "red flag" somewhere? Or did yours just slip thru the cracks?

well I was told by our LTC instructor that since I am in san Antonio I should mail my application in because it would arrive quick....what he failed to mention was that it would be a month or so after I sent it in to be scanned and processed. my application was sent to review, not sure why, but it was finally reviewed and approved last week. the website finally changed for me today though!

I have attempted to call several times and all I get is that MSG. I have not received anything in the mail as of yet and not getting anything from the website.

Is there another way to contact these people to get some info?

Dec 23 is not 68 days, not sure where you got that number from. You're too early to call based on that date.
