Oh No! Forgot Proficiency Certificate

#1

Post by cmbrust »

Drat! I was looking for my PIN to check on my status. I found my yellow Procificency Certificate with my copies. Should I just wait until I hear back from DPS and then send in my certificate? I just mailed my packet on 8/9.

I would go ahead and send it registered mail with return receipt and put a note on it saying why it is separate also put any numbers on it and the note that you have from the DPS.
Explain that it needs to be put with your CHL application on the note, and you might call the DPS CHL Division and talk to someone and explain what happened and take their name and the date and put on the note.
Ask them if it needs to come attention to who? Maybe to the person you are talking to at the DPS.

Also, place your application number on the top right of the form so it can be associated with your application before you send it in.

Good Luck.

Are you sure you still have the original and not the yellow carbon copy?

I forget what color the original is.

The original is the white one. It goes to DPS.

The yellow (actually goldenrod) is YOUR copy.

The yellow and pink ones go to the instructor(s).

If you did not send the original TR100 to DPS, they will certainly let you know shortly.

I have a yellow copy. I double checked my "copy" of everything I sent, and there is a TR 100 in there. I'm okay, I think.

I just have to not think about it. DPS received my packet today.

Thanks you guys!

This process can be very nervewraking at times, I certainly understand your anxiety! I suspect that you're good-to-go with your TR100, find something else to worry about...like the quality of your fingerprints! ;-)
