Finally got my ticket out of the Waiting Room

Finally the PLASTIC arrived

Here’s the turnaround for me....

CHL Class.................6/24/07 (Carter Country)
CHL App Mailed..........6/26/07 (Certified Mail)
CHL Received by DPS...7/11/07
PIN Received...............UNK
CHL Issued................9/10/07 (took right at 60 days)
CHL Received..............9/13/07

I Called around day 45 after my friend who mail there’s in after I did had already received it. They told me that everything went though fine, and it was just waiting to be processed. To me that sounds like they just wanted to wait the maximum time they can by state statue (60 day) to issue mine. My app was waiting on the wait, kind of disappointing. If you know anyone that works at DPS-Austin, give them a call, I spoke with a cousin of mine. I forgot he worked there, but he told me that I should have contacted him sooner, he know the person in charge of the whole operation and can get them pushed through in just a few days. Think real hard if there is any family, extended family, friends, friends of friends that work there, and can put a good word in. It’s apparently still a buddy buddy system at the state level.

It's not what you know, it's who you know. Why does that sound familiar?
July 1 mailed the packet.
July 5 delivery confirmation received
July 9 DPS deposits the check
July 27 got notice that I failed to sign one of the fingerprint cards arggh
July 27 signed fingerprint card and mailed back to Austin
July 28 Delivery confirmation that fingerprint card was received at CHL office
August 8 sent email requesting pin
August 9 received pin via email
August 21 Website still shows application missing information called CHL office to be told that application is being processed and website is behind and has problems
August 23 No change in status
August 29 Processing Application
September 6 Received 2 envelopes with same PIN #'s
How we conduct ourselves defines us. At the end of the day we answer to ourselves. At the end of our days we answer to God.
