Late September 2017 Application Still Pending

Fingerprints submitted 9/12
LTC Course submitted online (just before midnight) 9/28
LTC Course submission acknowledged via email by DPS 9/29
All green except Background and Print Pending 9/30

Still waiting on the background check...

I have no criminal or other history. No arrests. No anything. I’ve never lived out of state. I had a CHL that I let expire a few years back so this is my second background check.

It seems like my application is taking an unusually long time. It’s very frustrating.

Are things starting to slow down at the DPS?

Status just updated on a Saturday, in fact, to Print Pending today!!!

Time from all documents received to Print Pending was 43 days, if that helps anyone.

Now the wait for my LTC to be mailed begins...

Thanks guys and no worries. I didn’t take the lack of responses personally. I probably posted the thread on a randomly slow day. I was just imagining having the only two entries on this thread complete with crickets chirping and it made me laugh.

I have heard some say it arrived before they changed the status. Hopefully you will have it hand quickly.

After exactly 50 days from the day that DPS emailed me that they’d received all my paperwork, I have plastic in hand!!!



Just 2 days for the plastic to arrive since my status changed to mailed so not too bad.
