I let my LTC expire

#1

Post by LSUTiger »

Somehow I let my LTC expire 1 yr and 1 month. I had to do the whole process over again. :banghead:

Thankfully we are covered by TX Constitutional Carry (Permit less carry) as a fallback plan (better than nothing).

Last time I just renewed online in 2018.

So I know they have 60 Business days for a new application.

My question is, when does the TX DPS LTC website show any updates, currently is does not show anything other than:

How long does it take to actually display any kind of status?

Timeline:

LTC Application Online 11/1/24
Finger Prints/Picture 11/4/24
LTC Class 11/9/24
LTC Class Certificate LTC-100 Upload 11/9/24
1st Business Day would be Monday 11/11/24
60 Business Days would be Friday 1/31/25, not accounting for Holidays
Friday, 2/7/25 add a week for Holidays

Actual Receipt of LTC-TBD

Sometimes I really wish a lawyer would chime in and clear things up. Do we have any lawyers on this forum?

My experience is that status updates are not fast.

Agree with Paladin that the status page is kinda slow to populate updates sometimes

On a positive note, I had students earlier this year report back how long it took to receive their LTCs in the mail. The average was around 2-3 weeks from completion to showing up in their mailbox.
