Ranger, your ahead of me, I mailed mine a week after you did and my on-line status still says "mailed packet to applicant".
I Thank you for your service to our country, Good luck and hurry home. P.S. Can you bring me back a couple of thousand rounds of .223? Prices have shot through the roof! Stay safe.

Thank you for your service. :patriot:

I doubt you'll get your approval and plastic before the 25th.

If someone from DPS reads here maybe they can intercede on your behalf.

I wouldn't expect them or even ask them to speed mine along just because I'm leaving. The worst part is my wife has her CHL class this weekend and she's already bragged that she'll do her wally walk before I get home. She's addicted to guns now and even had me buy her a Taurus pt-22 yesterday. She likes it because it's "cute"

Well I called DPS on Wednesday just to let them know I was going to be out of the country for a while in case this had any bearing on the investigation at least they would know where I was at. They said it would be no problem and that it should only be about another three weeks. They said that when it's issued my wife can mail it to me and I held my tongue when I wanted to ask about the reciprocity of CHL with Iraq! At least the wait for my KD holster will go a little faster while I'm not home waiting on it. I'll be all set for my Wally Walk when I get home!!!
