I held a CCL from 2002-2006 it expired while I was serving at the Embassy in Paraguay 2006-2008. Last time I submitted my paperwork in October and received my license in March. My timing is always perfect; right after 9/11 there seemed to be a bit of a surge in applications. Now I'm dealing with the effects of the Obama regime taking over in D.C.
Don't despair Roscoe. It's only been 40 days for you so far. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if you had it by mid October time frame. Hang in there! :thumbs2:

Anyone else find it a bit disturbing that the page to check your status is titled, "Texas DPS - Crime Records Service"?

Packet arrived in Austin on 03 August. Checked on-line yesterday and it says Application completed, license issued or certificate active. Not bad, looks like DPS is doing their best to get these applications done on time!!! :clapping: :clapping:

Well at least getting closer, USA1. It hasn't been 30 days since its changed to processing. But I'm feeling excited. Maybe that's why I'm checking 4,5 or 6 times a day now. "rlol"
