Keep the faith but don't hold your breath at the risk of suffocation. My wife's arrived in two days while mine took five. I was beginning to thing it was lost or stolen but finally showed up today. I suspect you will see yours in the next few days.

Hey Dan, I'll call and check mine today to see if the "one month out" is a canned answer. I'll let you know when I hear from them.

Just got off the phone with Darrel at dps and guess what. I'm about a month out too. I guess all of us will get plastic on June 11th. Very nice.

He also told me it would take 2 weeks for my info that I submitted 4/29 to change my status on the website. Hmmm, seems like before I took my class and was stalking this forum, I would chuckle at the impatience " you people" displayed. Look at me now. I'm like a kid on Christmas eve, only I don't know when Christmas is! :waiting:

Hey Teamless, it is kind of fun harassing those still waiting now that we have ours..LOL :anamatedbanana

I guess it is kind of like telling your kids you can't wait until they have kids of their own.

So, you got yours yesterday, so now your going to harrass the rest of us? Let me catch you in a dark alley somewhere. Oh, wait! You have a gun and we don't, nevermind, just kidding.

I think all the techs at DPS must be on vacation at the same time. It seems that there has been no movement at all for any of us that at the background review stage.

Actually this falls into the category of "you either laugh, or you cry, and I hate to see a grown man cry"! I guess at the end of the day we all pretty much take it as it comes (typical governmental response) and wait our time out. I feel for you guys who are waiting though, even though I got mine yesterday my wife has had hers for a week and our applications were received by DPS the same day. To top it off the Postal Service took five days from Austin to The Woodlands. What really ads insult to injury is that the holster I ordered hasn't shown up so I am unarmed. Today is your day if you can find me in a dark alley! :fire
