Got it today!
Last night I checked online and found that my status had changed to "Application Complete". To my complete surprise, my CHL card was in today's mail. Below is the timeline that I experienced:
August 9th - Completed class
August 10th - Mailed application and payment
September 14th - Received DPS letter with PIN dated Sept 12th
September 26th - DPS online was updated to "Application Complete"
September 27th - CHL card arrived in the mail today
I am both excited and awed with my accomplishment, since CHL is such a great responsibility. I prayed tonight for Jesus to help me in this new endeavor. He has helped me before when I really needed it.
Tomorrow, I may go to WalMart, but not for nachos - hate that plastic cheese. Now, I am really looking forward to the Forum day at PSC on Saturday. There is so much to learn.

I still wonder if mine wasn't a record
I got my CHL after I started working for TSRA. I received my license in the mail 25 days after I MAILED it...
Of course, my employer was listed as Texas State Rifle Association, and my title was on there too. Surely, that didn't make a difference?
