60 days, it's here, and I'm outta here.

So, your CHL Application has been filed and the clock has slowed to a crawl - tell us about it!

It took 60 days for DPS to acknowledge on their website that my CHL had been awarded to me. That was on Thursday. The license arrived on Saturday. It's now Sunday and I still have not done my Wally world walk yet. Perhaps Monday after work.

Anyways, I'm outta here. Good luck to the rest of you guys/girls. Yours will arrive soon.

Total days. The state has 60 total days to let you know that you're approved /disapproved.

I have not done the Wally Walk YET! With Thanksgiving coming up, it may have to wait until after that. I'll get her done though.

You've had it three days and haven't gone anywhere????
Forget Wally World, have you had your first carry experience at all? If so, details please.

Nope, haven't carried anywhere. I don't have a holster for it yet. I don't want tocarry it loose. It is not cold enough for my big leather jacket yet.

Don't worry. I'll get it done.

Right now I have an XD 9MM Service model. It is too big to be a "pocket" gun. I really need a holster for it, but with Christmas season upon us and the wife harping about $$, I guess I will play it quiet for a while and see how it all plays out.

Check your local gun shop for an Uncle Mikes holster that will fit your gun. They're fairly cheap and great for those temporary periods when your waiting for an ordered holster to ship.

There is a B & S Guns near the house. I'll stop by there after we get back from our Thanksgiving trip.

I got a really nice Atkins style leather OWB from http://www.shado.com for $35. I love it and it's now about the only holster I use. They ship fast. It took about 3 or 4 days to get it in the mail.

Buy a holster and give it to your wife for Christmas. When she can't use it, she'll probably pass it on down to you! :)

Congrats!
