DPS does seem to be processing faster now than they have been in the past; so, maybe you won't have that long of wait although it will seem like an eternity.

First post, just found this forum. I'm adding myself to the may 2011 club. Can't help but check dps site almost daily.lol.

Here is my time line so far

Online app. 3/17/11
Chl class 3/27/11
L1 prints 3/31/11
Mailed packet 4/4/11
Pending on 5/4/11

Now wait wait wait.

5/27/11 FPs at L1
& passport photos
5/28/11 Attended class
5/31/11 Package in the mail
NOW the wait begins.
6/1/11 Package signed for at DPS
6/6/11 No status change
6/13/11 First status - background check under review
6/15/11 Background check complete - manufacture pending
6/17/11 Mailed
6/24/11 PLASTIC in hand

Finally got the status update online. Now just waiting on the background check. I'm pretty boring, so that should go quickly.

I was at background for 2 weeks after it finly appeared online. They had problems reading the words "no record found". I think we all need to oin together and get the words the changed to "no CD found", hopefully that would speed things up a little.

5/18 - Application reaches DPS (I assume USPS delivered with a 3-legged mule)
6/1 - Background check pending
6/7 - Manufacturing pending

6/14 - Plastic
(50 days mail box to mail box; 29 days if USPS was competent)
