Mailed it all today
Hello, just signed up for this forum to learn as much as I can and today mailed all the paperwork to DPS. Took the CHL class with Murphys CHL in Dallas and Russell and Debbie were great.
I am currently looking to buy a Springfield XDM 9 once a find a FFL close to me. Now it's a game of hurry and and wait :).
Thanks,
Daniel

Re: Mailed it all today
It's been almost two weeks since the paperwork has been received by DPS. Why am I checking the site 10 million times a day lol I know it will take quite some time.
Thanks,
Daniel

I just bought the Springfield XDM9 (4.5) and I love it. I also sent in my info packet on 07/30 and it just went to Background Check Under Review today.

Re: Mailed it all today
Well I emailed DPS today to see if I need to re-submit my documents... I sent them certified mail so I know they received them but who knows if they ever were delivered to the correct person.
I received an auto-response saying it could take up to 5 business days for a reply, which I assume is why its taking a while to update the website, they must be swamped.
Oh well in the mean time I am going to try a new range close to me (On Target in Fort Worth) and put some lead downrange.
Thanks,
Daniel

I don't know if this is part of your holdup, but I do know it can take a week or so for the digital finger prints to become available to TDPS.

Re: Mailed it all today
Wohooooo, website updated today... man I feel better that my documents did not get lost.
Currently there are yellow triangles next to:
1. Application: Received
2. Background Check: Under Review
3. Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review
Does all this look normal? I am not sure if the yellow triangle should show next to Application: Received but I am optimistic here.
Thanks,
Daniel

From what I've read, that it perfectly normal. The yellow triangle next to application at the top will turn green when the entire process is finished.daniel2002p wrote:Wohooooo, website updated today... man I feel better that my documents did not get lost.
