Since the lawdawgs can see you have a chl through your DL I wonder if you could carry without the license and if you get caught up Ina situation just tell them to verify that way.

You can try but the law says you have to carry the actual plastic for 46.02 to not apply.Ericstac wrote:Since the lawdawgs can see you have a chl through your DL I wonder if you could carry without the license and if you get caught up Ina situation just tell them to verify that way.

You're right, I forgot that Monday is Veteran's Day and there's no mail delivery ... as a vet, you'd think I'd remember that.Oldgringo wrote:I'm pretty sure you won't get it on Monday.Pep wrote:Congrats Eric, am glad your's arrived.

Thanks for the reminder.

I don't think I want to take that risk ... I'll just keep waiting until the plastic arrives and I have it in my wallet.
Thanks, though ...

Re: It's now day 10 and still no plastic!
I don't get it, 10 days (Thursday, November 1st) since my status changed to "mailed" and still no plastic?
Come Tuesday, I'll call the DPS and ask if it's actually been mailed.
I'm beginning to wonder if the mail carrier didn't put it in somebody elses mail box. We live on a cul de sac with community boxes at one end.

"...a watched pot never boils..."
That must apply to peanut oil, too. I've been trying since 0930 to get the oil up to 375° so I can slip that turkey into it.
Oh BTW, the state has had our money since 19 October and our CHL 100 renewals since 24 October. The website STILL says they are waiting on required submittals. If it's not in the mail by now, don't look for it until next weekend. Monday is a holiday and Tuesday will be show and tell day. Maybe some apps will be processed/mailed during what's left of the week?

You've given me hope that it hasn't been lost in the mail, or worse yet, the mail carrier placed it in the wrong box and whoever got it just threw it in the trash ... I was beginning to panic, but I'll wait it out until Tuesday and hopefully I'll be doing the happy dance, too.
It sure sat in the mailroom in Austin for a long time, didn't it.
Again, congratulations.

I know it seemed like mine sat in someone's outbox somewhere for a week after it was marked mailed. I wouldn't worry yet.
