Now to wait for the plastic……

Hi all, I have been lurking on this site for a while and putting off applying for my CHL longer. I was working for a community newspaper when the law was passed and my editor wanted me (since I had several firearms) to go through the process. Knowing that I could not carry on the job (I needed to on a couple occasions) I declined. After moving on from the newspaper, I freelanced (photography) until I landed a job with a well-known sporting goods outlet. I now live breathe and talk firearms and importantly RKBA.
A colleague wanted to know what I was waiting for and I could not give a good answer. I had the funds and the gun(s), why not? I took my class two weeks ago and waved bye to my paper work that same week. Now to wait for the plastic……
