I received a message from the CHL office this morning which reads as follows:
Your license was issued out yesterday please allow 7-10 day for delivery.
I can see a trip to Wally World in my not too distant future.

How do you come up with 94 days if as you wrote in the other thread, they received it on 28-Jul-07?

The way I add it up - I get 69 or 70 days (that being 10 weeks since 28 July) of official time. If you add in the time for the lack of a signature - another 4 weeks - you get right to the 95 day timeframe. I don't count (and you shouldn't hold them responsible for) the first 4 weeks. The law works both ways - the clock starts upon recipt of a complete application. The fact that it was 69 days still means it took longer than the time allowed by law, but there is no need to make it sound even worse by adding in the previous 4 weeks.

Point taken.

Congratulations mrbug.......
Check the website again on Monday and see if it changes to "License Issued" or something like that..........if it does not, then they have lied to you again!
Now, I hope what happened to me does not happen to you.........
That is....they mailed my original license out, but the fool that puts them in the envelopes put mine in with someone else's (mine behind theirs). The someone else's was in front of the envelope and that is what is shown in the plastic see thru window. This someone else received both theirs and mine!
I called and complained after about a week. They said to wait a few days longer. I waited another week and called and they told me the story. I asked if they would issue a duplicate and they said no. I had to wait for the someone else to mail mine back to DPS and for them to mail it to me.......
I think it took a total of 3 weeks or so...........
Just lucky that the someone else actually sent it back. Otherwise I would have had to wait another 30 days as I recall them telling me!

Thats kinda odd. I spoke with the DPS office Thurs. to review some juvenile stuff. At the end of the conversation the lady told me everything looks good and they will mail it out tomorrow (Fri.). As of this morning the website still shows Processing Application.
Congrats and I am very glad your lllooooonnnnnggggg wait is over!

It sounds like the best thing to do if you get someone else's CHL by mistake is to send it to them and don't bother getting DPS involved.
congrats mrbug!
