You might call and see if you can fax the info over. I know I was waiting for my new passport to come in so I could send it to them when it got it and the person I spoke with told me to call back when I got it and I could fax it in. May be an option save a few dollars and get it there quicker.
The wait is on!!!

I already mailed it. I'm afraid if i faxed it now it would just confuse things more. Thanks for the advice though!

No harm done either way. Likely it just delayed it by a day so no biggie. I was able to fax in my passport yesterday so have my fingers crossed I'll be outta here soon.

I went to check the status of my application with my pin number and it says no license or certificate active???? Why would they send a PIN if the application was not in process or active or anything?

In the 105 days I waited, I found that when I got that message, it meant that I had not eneterd ALL of the info on the sign in screen correctly. The other thing I had happen was their server was down (I guess) one night. Fortunately with wife and son playing the waiting game as well, I had a comparison point.

What PIN, what Numbers? Where do I get this info? I applied several weeks ago, the only thing I have got back is the certified mail thing that you send with the info pack, and the dude didn't even put the date on it!

The PIN number comes in one of two ways:

If you applied and completed the application online, the PIN was on the first page of the printed application you received from DPS.

If you applied using a traditional application, you will receive the PIN via mail. It appears that it takes about 4 weeks after the application is received in Austin for the PIN to arrive.

Once you have a PIN, you can check status here:

http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/administra ... sindex.htm

It took about 42 days for my application to be approved. Just waiting on the post office now.

I had 2 things tha got my application delayed one was a signature i believe other was even tho i reported a conviction or a class A misdemeanor they wanted the court documents all they had was an arrest record from the county,my record had been expunged so i had to send a notarized letter to get the info from the courthouse ,it took like 7 months with all the delays but i been a card carrying member for awhile now and most of the time forget i'm armed due to fact i carry 24/7.It makes a lot of difference just kowing that you can legally carry a weapon to defend yourself if the need arises,I live 20 miles from the border ,and sometimes it's almost like the wild wild west
It is said that if you line up all the cars in the world end-to-end, someone would be stupid enough to try to pass them
