Been a long time lurker here, finally had to write about my good day-- I got my PIN!!!! Now I have the joy of checking status online about every hour per day until the plastic arrives.

I've read about the delays with DPS and was worried about it taking just taking 60 to 90 days just for the PIN, then more waiting for the actual plastic. But luck is on my side.

lets see here -
Class taken: 3/1
Mailed app to DPS: 3/4
DPS rx'ed app: 3/6
PIN rx'ed: 4/29 (4/23 date on letter)
license issued/plastic rx'ed: ?????
PROFIT! (j/k)

Cool...now you can watch the words, "Processing application", growing mold on them.

ahhh the truth comes out .... I have been processing application for a bit .... I am sure it will be another few weeks

I thought luck was on my side too when I received the PIN before some people who had it received by DPS before me. But now they have plastic and mine is still "processing application"

I finished my class on 3/5 and sent it in the next week without a way to be sure they got it.
Posts like this one that tell me that I shouldn't be worried yet. hopefully I'll be contacted by them soon. BTW I think my finger prints are going to fail.

Look for the check to be cashed. If they get the packet, the check is the first thing to be processed.

Not sure, but I think there is a way to check on money orders also. May be a pain though.
