Wyatt,

It will be here soon. I know its a hard wait but one thing I've learned, by reading posts from the Sr. members, is not to kill yourself over this process because it will drive you mad. I used the method of "set it and forget it." In other words, I didn't count days and I didn't check my app. status, only twice did I. After speaking with others, the DPS as more applications for CHL in June than the total combined all year last year. Remember, these are humans processing these apps. by hand, it will take some time. But as always, you do have the right to contact your Rep. Keep me, us, posted on the progress.

Take care,

Brad

Thanks Longhorn, I tell you what, and all that are still waiting, the best advise I can give, is to take the time, and you will have plenty, to read every post on this forum. Not only can it make the time pass, but you will continue to grow in your CHL education and understanding. This in turn will make you a more RESPONSIBLE carrier once you receive your CHL. If you think of a "what if" situation, it is better to ask it (read it) in here before you carry than it is to say to a judge "but I thought I could do that."

Respectfully,

Brad

Congratulations on receipt of your license. I never knew that you were quite so stoic. Seems like it is now time for a father/son joint carry excursion. :woohoo

"After speaking with others, the DPS as more applications for CHL in June than the total combined all year last year."

..and last year, as I recall, was not a slow year for apps.

Congrats.

Congratulation, Bogey51, on receiving your plastic! and rain to boot :clapping: ...that is pretty good. That is some very good advise you gave for all of us that are still waiting. I wish I had never pursued a PIN#...big mistake. I keep telling myself that it is dumb to keep checking that silly thing, but ....no, the next thing I know, there I am again. Your right, it just adds stress, at least, for me anyhow.

Good luck, and be safe.
