I just put my application in the mail (certified mail) today. I guess it might be about christmas before I get my chl. hurry up and wait!

Welcome welcome. Well with any luck, you'll start getting the benefits of added helpers at DPS. According to BigBlueDodge, they're adding 20 to their staff this upcoming week and acquiring a new building. Hope your wait will be shorter than mine!!!

Good luck, DallasMike! I just got mine in the mail today. Total time from the time they received it until I got my plastic: 95 days.
With the addition in staff they're adding, you may not have to wait as long.

I just hope I did everthing right. I went over the checklist a million times, i feel like there is something i didnt do.

I had the same feeling. It's like leaving on a trip and wondering if you left something at home. If you used the checklist I'm sure you're fine...just a waiting game now.

I think that is part of why the wait is such a hard one is that we all think that. I just knew that something will go wrong and I would think about it everyday...which makes the wait a whole lot harder and longer than it really is.
Read BigBlue's post... It will help you to see some of the reasons behind the wait, and that the DPS really is aware of the problem and working on it.
In the mean time, try to just relax (if you can)
practice your carry rig in the home (unloaded!) no ammo around
this will help you to be ready when your plastic does arrive. Study and read this forum everyday. You will be glad that you did, because you will be surprised at what you will learn here and their are a whole lot of really good folks here willing to help you along.
