Letter from my Senator - Dan Patrick - District 7
Got an actual, physical letter from my Senator today.
Figured I'd post this up here for all to read. Some good information that some may not know.

IANAL, YMMV, ITEOTWAWKI and all that.

Typical Politician. Talk all day & didn't say a thing.
Carry 24-7 or guess right.

Sounds like support for the "DPS Talk" to me.
Hopefully things do get better for those that follow. They sure have been a pain in the rear for some of us. I think the peak for "the mess" was probably March and April - it probably will take till December for things to get back to normal (whatever that is - oh yeah, only having natural disasters for excuses).
At least he did send you a letter!
Currently, My CHL is somewhere between there and there and here - I hope.

You must have seen my post before I deleted it. I posted it in the "Political" forum instead of here.

I got the same canned response from his office a few days ago.

Sen. Wentworth did not even bother to respond.

Oh, I know that, and I'm glad he at least sent me a paper letter, speaks volumes about his desire to actually reach out to his constituents.stroo wrote:Dan Patrick is actually one of the good guys.
I know there's not much he can do, other than make a phone call or two. Beyond that, he's pretty much powerless.

That's why I put this in my post - it's more than anybody but the Governor's office has sent to me. I did have an Aid in Weber's office shoot me an email saying that he was currently "waiting" for DPS to contact him concerning my request to him (Yeah, he's a real go-getter).Aladinbama wrote:At least he did send you a letter!
Ms. Keith (I believe), the Governor's Chief of Staff, contacted me within hours of me emailing his office. She has either contacted me or CCed me to emails she has sent out on two other occasions since. I think I need to give credit where credit is due - Thanks Dedre

My co-worker got the same exact letter. It really disappoints me that Mr. Patrick presents himself as a "accept no excuse" kind of guy, then you see this kind of thing.
