i filled out the address change form (via the internet) on 6/29/06, the same day my card was charged the $25.00 fee. i am told that it will take 3 weeks; i dont know how accurate this is.

so the 3 week mark is 7/20/06... i will keep you guys posted.

I thought the fee for an address change was reduced to $10 to make it consistent with changing a TDL. I may be wrong - it wasn't a major issue on my radar screen during the Session.

Chas.
Yeah, that would be a great idea! Unfortunately... has not happened.

21 days to my mailbox last month.......just 11 days for DL.

And, like you, they charged the card immediately.......$25. I did find it interesting that the DL changes had a $1 fee + the $10 charge, but the CHL didn't add an online service charge.

$25. *sigh*

I took the class. Aced the written test. Got 250/250 shooting. I have the forms all filled out. I have the money order. All ready to go. But I'm currently looking to buy a house and I expect to change my address in the next few months. Part of my says wait. The other part says go. I'm off this Friday. I'll probably be mailing it out anyway.

To keep your licenses valid, do you need to carry around proof that you filed the change? Do you just print out the electronic receipt?

Did you have to do anything to make sure your license stayed valid during those 40 days?
