In the online application I listed my priors but did not include the final decree with the packet. They sent me a letter requesting the information. It was considered an incomplete packet. You can get a certified copy from the county clerk. After they got the information it was 5 days until I went from background check to mailed. This included Saturday/Sunday

Are you just stating what happened in your case, or did you have a question or discussion point to the comment as well?

Just trying to give a heads up in case someone has something in their background check. They may want to get the documents ready before they are asked for.

I have three prior arrests, two dismissed cases and 1 deffered, and I didn't have to submit anything formal from either court and my license just shipped. Took about a week longer than everyone else has been experiencing, but I'm cleared. My stuff was all older than a decade old though.

Was it in a small county or anything?

I had charges from 3 different counties. They did not question two counties. The ones they questioned were from Lubbock county. I had 3 DWI charges in Lubbock. They had all three listed and conviction written beside the first one. The second one was dismissed the 3rd was a guilty. There is no record of the second one just a statement of dismissal. Three guiltys would be a felony. Maybe they just wanted proof of the dismissed charge. I had an eventful young adulthood. By the way I haven't drank in 15 or 16 years and I can't stand to be around a drunk. They want to hug you and tell you how much they love you.

I can see why they asked for the paperwork and a good reminder DPS may ask for the disposition paperwork if you were arrested. search.php

They either want to do that, or they want to fight you. Either extreme happens. Some people are happy drunks and some people are mean drunks.

Did you end up getting yours? I have my app in progress and I had 2 DWI arrests but both were dismissed, was just wondering if they gave you any crap over being "chemically dependant"?
