Finally received my CHL in the mail Saturday. It was a bit of a wait and required a couple of phone calls but it's all worth it. :thewave

Thanks to all. I also honestly believe that if a person doesn't follow up on there application after a prescribed amount of time then they may be in for even a longer wait. When I called and finally talked to the person who was handling my app she told me that she just got back from vacation and my app was in a stack of "eventually get to items". Once found it was only a matter of days until it was mailed out. She was very polite about the whole process but admitted that it was lost in that other stack for a while. I'm just glad the process is over and that I have it now. Now I get to look forward to the renewal process - Yeehaw!

I realize that the DPS is handling a lot of requests but, in this day and age there really is no reason that there are the discrepancies in how long it takes for people to receive their CHL.

Maybe the supervision in this department needs to be looked at and held to task a little better......Just my observation!
