October 8th the instructor turned in our paperwork. It took just over three weeks for the DPS website to show they had received it.
November 14th they said they had mailed it, 6 days later and it is not here yet! I live just outside of Austin city limits and it takes a
week to get here??? 6 days to go 19 miles? I'm guessing there is a pile of CHLs sitting in a mail room waiting for some slob to get motivated
enough to drop them in the mail box! What a joke. Hey, I've got an idea...let's get them to run our healthcare system too....I want the whole
world to be run like the DMV!

My status changed to "mailed" on November 1, envelop was postmarked November 7th, plastic finally arrived on November 13th.

Hang tough, maybe today will be the day you get it.

After reading through the forum, I'm learning that it's a long waiting game. I just sent my packet on Thursday 11/15, and I'm sure they've got lots of time off for the Holidays, so I'm betting mine won't be till after the first of the year.

Good to see that I am not the only one. I was beginning to get worried but now see I just need to be patient.

Mine too changed to mailed 11/12 (9 business days so far) and still no license.
The mailbox wait is definitely the most painful=(
Maybe Friday after the holiday it will show it self.
We shall see.
