A little about my experience -
I don't even own a gun. In fact, the first time I shot a gun was in chl class! This licensing was more of a response to the economy and the election AND of course I wanted to exercise my 2nd; so I made it a point to add the license to my "prepping" list.
Come early next year when the budget permits, I hope to go gun shopping. I have my eye on that Glock 27 Gen 4, but we'll see. And yes I will definitely take some basic handgun classes as well. Hope everything goes well. Thanks to the board again... ... ... ... later.

Re: The wait is over
Well the CHL will make your first firearm purchase a cake walk so that's a huge plus. The G27 is a great firearm and you can't go wrong with a Glock for a beginner shooter. Good luck to you and congrats on getting your plastic.
