I am not upset bc I have to wait 6+ weeks to get license. I am upset because the only thing I do know is my CC has been charged by DPS and the fingerprint people. I sent my docs with a delivery confirmation, but that just means it made it to the front door. Did the docs make it to someone's in basket? Sent an email a week ago but got no response.

SOME PLEASE SAY SOMRETHING TO MAKE ME FEEL BETTER! BTW great website, learned a lot just trolling before joining.

It's only been 17 days since you mailed your paperwork--that normal. Around the 25-30 day mark you might start seeing some movement.

I know it's frustrating, but this is the worst part as it's the limbo time...hang in there.

Okay does that make you feel better

Start ordering any items that take 3-4 weeks (holster, etc) and that way you will be ready when the plastic arrives.

Okay I feel better! Sure seems like more than 17 days. Yes, have my LC9 in parts in the garage. Sent hammer/trigger bar to Galloway Precision for mods. Already have a Desantis sof-tuk and been wearing it empty around town.

Just wish there was at least something that said 'we received your package and it will be processed in due time'

Sent mine the same day as you and my status is the same as yours. Is it a coincidence my first name is the same too?

Sent mine in via fax and email on 2/26 as well as a few of my friends with the same timeline. A friend received an email a few days after faxing that they could not read his info, so he emailed them a second copy. He's heard nothing after that, and his status is unchanged. So it appears that no news is good news. The consensus was 3 weeks before any update online, but now it seems to be stretching out to maybe even 4-6. DPS is being hammered right now.

I'm with you though...it would be nice to have some kind of acknowledgement about receiving our info a little sooner than a month, but rest assured, it is par for the course right now.

Friend who took class with me emailed his in. He got a reply email saying they got it or something, but nothing since then. Looks like once the status changes the first time everything happens real quick.

Like has been said many times, just be patient. I completed online application on 12/18/12. Took class 1/19/13 and mailed packet on 1/21/13 regular mail. I recieved plastic last Friday, 3/15/13. So almost exactly two months from class/packet completed to plastic.

Finally got a status update!!!!! Background check under review!!!!!

It seems like a crap shoot on how long it takes for an update. I know a bunch of people who sent their stuff in Feb (me included) that have received no update yet. So looks like you got one of the faster peeps!

Pretty good day because I got my parts back from Galloway Precision for my Ruger LC9!

You should have learned more then as you have just begun.

It can be frustrating just waiting on the DPS but I have to say, they are doing a great job just keeping up with demand.
