I mailed off my packet and my girlfriends packed 2/13. I have been checking the website.

It's still showing....

"Application processed online. Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on the receipt of required materials. Once the application and materials have been received by Concealed Handgun Licensing and processing has begun, a more detailed status will appear on this page."

That was 5 weeks ago. I called them and was told. "We are not showing anything, still too early"

Well that was useless...what to do? Wait more or panic?

Wait another week and call back and ask if you should resend the packet.

paustin you must have a family member wroking for the DPS in Austin. You would have to agree that a simple acknowledgement of the reciept of documents submitted by USPS mail or via Email should not be that difficult. The FBI has nothing to do with the acknowledgement of the reciept of documents on an update to the status on the wesite. Unless you have something productive to add you might want to consider not posting.

No one DPS. However, one has to look at all of the complaints, but know that is the way it is. Do they ack your receipt of items right away no. Will they, no. So my point is to just chill and let the process play out--that simple. Is it fun waiting--heck NO! Is it frustrating, yes...but we all know how long it takes.

Hope your process gets better...and yes I will keep posting thanks. :txflag:
