The "refresh" button...

Now that I have my PIN, I leave the DPS website up 24/7 since my computer stays on most of the time. I was wondering, is there any reason to bother refreshing it after 5 or 6 PM, and likewise on the weekends? I figure if they're going to update my status beyond "Application Processing", it will be during business hours. Right?

That is a funny question.

An honest answer is don't bother refreshing for a few weeks. It may well change from processing to complete the day after you get your CHL. The only thing I use the website for is to see it changes from packet mailed to processing. This way I know DPS didn't misplace the application in their offices. They are just too busy and too short-handed to do much with the website.

BTW, you do get the award for the most enthusiastic CHL’er!

Keep the hope and keep refreshing--i even checked on the weekends, just in case it was an automated process--hey, you never know--

well i'm checking it first thing when i get to the office as usual, and at 7:55, it says "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active"

So--who knows, maybe i got the worker that works 7-4 instead of 8-5 :)

funny thing about that.....

I had checked early Monday morning at about 5am (I work nights) and it still said Processing Application. I thought "what the heck" and checked it at 8:11 am, just as I was leaving work. Application Complete! My guess is that mine was pretty much done, and just sitting on the top of my processor's stack waiting to be entered.
