Howdy

Hello fellas, I'm new here but thought I'd post my wait time. Turned in all my materials yesterday (fingerprints already done) so now just playing the waiting game. Heard DPS has hired some additional people and also some temp workers. Current estimates are 3-6 months on the wait. Anybody else currently waiting on their plastic? Looking for an indication on wait time...

Refer to the viewtopic.php?f=42&t=2398" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; thread to get an idea of current times. The last few pages will give you a good idea. My packet was received by DPS on 3/29, and went into Background check on 5/7. Background check from there varies depending on the response times of the agency(s) they are submitted to.

Welcome to the forum. The only thing consistent about the CHL wait time are there inconsistencies.

If you can find ammo, I haven't seen a box of 9mm in months so I don't shoot much at all anymore.

I just replied in "March" thread.
Mailed my paperwork 3/6/13, and just saw on website it's in the mail.
The longest wait was after initial update. It was unchanged for nearly 2 months.

Hey there. I sent my app in this last week so I'm just getting going in the process.

I created a May tracking thread a little ways down the page If you want to post in there and keep it going.
