Is the Processing / Accepted period shorter for those who pre-apply online Vs. those who fill out and submit their application after taking the CHL course? Please let us know.

It took four months to get mine. I waited until the 60 working day mark and was checking the DPS website twice a day. When I saw that the license was issued, I didn't want to refresh the page.

I did not apply online, and it still took 8-10 days before I could see the application online.. with 250k CHL holders in Texas, on a 4 year rotation, that works out to 5200 packets a month to process! That's a LOT of paperwork. I think 30 days is one heck of a good turn around.
