Hard to believe we are talking about CHL timelines for CHLs that will be issued in 2014. Where has the time gone?

Here's mine, didn't mean to push the 1 year deadline so badly, but having to do prints in state messed it up for me.
Application: 12/5/13
Class: 12/30/12
Fingerprints: 12/11/13
Mailed forms: 12/13/13
I only sent in two forms. The barcode one from online, and the TS-100 from the class. Hopefully that's all I needed. I just sent them in a regular envelope.

That should be all you need. I sent all my stuff in by First Class mail in a regular envelope too. If I had it to do again, I would at least have sent it "Return Receipt Requested". The extra cost would have been well worth the anxiety of not knowing if it got lost in the mail. All is good now though. After 63 days, the web site updated, and 6 days later, this last Tuesday, my CHL arrived in the mail.

Congrats! 70 days is soooo long! This is going to be painful!

Good to hear it worked out for you. I put my address on the back so it can find it's way back if needed hopefully. There was a story on the local news the other night about mail being stolen from the drop boxes at the PO I used. Luckily it sounds like it was only a couple times, and was after hours. I took mine inside, and dropped it in the package box on accident. I opened it up and was like hmm this looks different. Then when I closed it I saw the taped sign saying boxes only.

They didn't even have my information online but I called yesterday afternoon emailing them 2 weeks ago. I had did mine online the week before Thanksgiving. Anyway They told me I should have mine by the first week of January. We got to get the CCW law amended so that once we pay for a renewal our CCW IS still good till they finally get them processed. I hate not being to carry since 12/13/13 .

If your license expires for your renewal before you receive the renewal it is NOT GOOD. You have to wait until you receive your new license to carry unless you have a license from another state that Texas accepts.

Mike, I believe that is what Deltaboy was saying, that the law needs to be changed so that someone who has paid for a renewal doesn't have to go unarmed while waiting on the plastic to arrive. His expired 12/13/13 so he is lamenting that he hasn't been able carry since that date.
Did you think he was suggesting otherwise?

Hey guys I'm Eric. Mailed my barcode and chl 100 in 12/11. Still says waiting on material. This wait is terrible lol and it's only been 3 weeks today for me!
