New member; new plastic!
It was a 10 week wait, but it's finally over!
Now the long process of finding suitable civilian carry options. I have got a lock box for the truck that cables around the seat frame and hides under the seat for locking it up at work since guns are not allowed inside per the employee handbook. I'd rather not trust the door locks by themselves.
I've already eliminated many carry options which I've found unsuitable to the task and narrowing in on some safer options. This is the fun part - shopping!

Congrats! I'm with you, I work at a private university. Good choice with the lock box. Welcome to the forum.

Re: New member; new plastic!
Completed my Kroger Walk. NO Wally Walk for me. We're not supposed to let our guard down and do silly things or go dangerous places just because we've got a weapon, right?
Sorry, I don't swim in the shark's house and I don't walk through the crim's house at Wally World LOL. The Kroger walk was wonderful and I learnt that it takes a couple of days to get a shoulder holster or a fanny pack fitted juuust right. You just can't tell until you've walked a mile with it on.
I went to a gun friendly pizza place tonight and a couple old timers were sitting against the wall and gave my fanny pack the stare down. LOL.
PS. Those 30.06 signs need to be more conspicuous. Many are very difficult to locate. I think the law as it is might be a bit too "biziness friendly." If they want to be anti- 2nd amendment, that's fine, they've got that right, but then they need to make it OBVIOUS and make them red on a white background with flashing lights around them. They should be PROUD to post "GUN FREE ZONE IN THIS SHOP - CRIMINALS WELCOME!" But for some reason, it seems they'd like to keep it low key. I wonder why???????????
It's quite easy to walk right past one if you don't stop, and look closely before entering because many are way off to the side of the door and white letters on clear glass.

Congrats on the new plastic, saw a sign today as we were walking out of a restaurant on the inside wall behind a plant, was not a legal sign.

Re: New member; new plastic!
OK ok I just did a real live Wally walk!! 8am Sat morning carrying in a fanny pack. Waits for someone to tell me I cheated.
I bought another 150 rounds of 9mm while at Walmart to add to my collection - after being insulted with a sarcastic comment about Americans and a "tude" by what I believe to be an outsourced moron on a major local discount sporting goods chain website who offers free shipping on lots of ammo. Needless to say they lost all my future business. They've also got tons of complaints on the web about their lack of customer service. Now I know why.

Congrats on the plastic - but a fanny pack? ....In Texas?....Really?
BTW How does an Aggie drive through a flashing red light?
Step on the gas - slam on the brake - step on the gas - slam on the brake....

How do you get a TEXAS A & M graduate off your porch?
Pay him for the pizza.

Why don't Aggies use 911 in an emergency?
Because they can't find "eleven" on the phone dial.

Yes, a fanny pack. It was too bloody hot to wear jeans with a belt holster or a LS shirt and my shoulder holster so I opted for the expedience of shorts and a fanny pack. I don't care about looks at my age. As an OWM, I seem to have become invisible to 100% of the females and most of the men, too. I could wear guns in a double western holster openly and carry my Winchester Trapper and I don't think anyone would notice.
