Why would you expect the background to take the same amount of time?? Look at the 20+ legislative mandates that DPS must investigate. You've got more life experiences and a lot of things to look into and follow up on that I assume are ruled out rather quickly re: your daughter.

If you're LTC eligible it will come. Congrats to your daughter. That's awesome. More ladies LTC more better IMHO

Day 113 here. All in Dec 28, lost or never really sent on Mar 7th. Then wait 30 days to report not received, then allow 14 business days to reprint and mail again. Cant send from Austin to Austin.

I saw on the news that they are really busy. LTC applicants went up 139% or something. So this is why we should all be in favor of constitutional carry. We shouldn't have to wait for a right. There has been a case where someone has been killed while waiting on a permit. My home state allowed open carry with no permit. So if you were waiting you could at least OC. This is sad.

I had a status change on 4/13 but still no plastic yet

Wife and submitted all paperwork at same time on 1/21/16. Email confirmation on 1/26/16.
Wife had LTC in hand on 4/20/16 and when I called on 4/ 25/16 all they said is we are busy and your application is being processed.

Status change 4-30-16, 60 Business Days/90 Calendar Days.

Plastic received May 2, 2016.
63 Business Days (93 Calendar Days).
