Update: My job search

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

I thought things were picking up, of course, as soon as I did, my hours at my current contract were cut by 1/4.

I've NEVER been this long without a job; its really taxing emotionally on me and the wife, too.

I've been doing my darndist, looking everywhere I can, but for some reason, I've been extremely unlucky.

My wife and I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers; we're about needing all the help we can get at this point.
I've been where you are twice in my life. It's hard, real hard. But, this is one of those times that you truly come to appreciate a good wife...I know I do even if she doesn't know it. I recently found a contract to perm position that I hope remains permanent. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Well, on friday it's official. I'm starting training for an incredibly crappy job that will have me working weekends and some mondays.

I also have a line on another job which will be muich better.

The good part is this, if I don't get the good, much better job, the "crappy" job will allow me the time to do something i've always wanted to do: Look into attending the police adacemy.

If I get the good job, then, I get the good job!

Hopefully everything works out; I'll keep you all updated.

Thank you ALL for your spiritual support; it really DOES mean a lot to me.

Uh, you might want to get your butt out of the computer chair and go fix that, real soon.

Congrats on the new crappy job. At least it's a job for now and it will enable you to pay bills.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that the good job pans out for you.

I am glad to hear that you finally found some work. Remember that money from a crappy job spends the same as one from a non-crappy job. ;-) It's easier to find a job when you already have one.

Nitrogen - hang in there. You never know what path this might take.

A couple of years ago, I was out of work and getting pretty desperate. Took a crappy temporary contract job. (And I DO mean crappy!) But, I did it. And then they sent me on another, only slightly less crappy, contract. And when it was over, I started another contract that led to my definitely NOT crappy job now! Sometimes, the road is winding, but there IS a plan.

You know we will continue to pray for your success.
