Shauna and Willy - more prayers needed
Before Christmas, I'd asked for prayers for Shauna and Willy.
Shauna has been staying with her Aunt and Uncle while recuperating from surgery, due to there being an outbreak of illness among others at her home. She was doing well enough that her Aunt and Uncle felt comfortable leaving town for a long weekend.
Murphy stinks.
Willy's Mom passed away yesterday (Thursday - actually day before yesterday, now), so he left Friday for San Antonio.
This morning (Friday) Shauna started spiking a fever, with nausea. The surgery incision is looking somewhat inflamed. Her surgeon is out of town until Tuesday. She tried toughing it out during the day, then called me this evening.
I'm sitting in the emergency room right now, waiting for word on her condition. I don't know if they're planning on re-admitting her or if they're trying to stabilize her so she can go home again. I can't leave until I know, as I'm also her ride home.
Please continue to keep Shauna and Willy in your prayers, especially since they're now also dealing with a death in the family.
Thank you all for the prayers you've put up already on their behalf. May God bless.

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me

I am so sorry to hear of this.
We will be praying for strength and blessings for all involved... during this time of testing.

Re: Shauna and Willy - more prayers needed
Many thanks for the prayers.
I got "kicked out" of the emergency room at about 0230 this morning. They planned on keeping her for a few more hours, at least, so I went home and got some sleep.
I spoke with the ER a little while ago and she was admitted as an in-patient, so she'll probably be there for several days. I've let Willy know that I'll be here on call for her until he can get home. I'll be checking on her personally later today when I take her laptop up to her. I wish the hospital offered wireless....
God never gives us more than we can handle, with His help. I'm counting on that.

Re: Shauna and Willy - more prayers needed
Another update... the cause of the problem was a very large (bigger than her fist) cyst/abscess that developed near the incision site. She's got two separate IV drips set up for her antibiotics/anti-nausea/pain meds, and will likely be in the hospital for a few days.
The meds are helping; she looked and sounded a bit better this evening than she did 24 hours ago. She's still running a fever, but not as high. She also said "Thank you" for the prayers.
Hopefully she'll improve enough that she'll be able to eat and keep down something more than just a buttered roll and part of an orange soda tomorrow.
