#1

Post by Plato »

Wondered if anyone here has ever gone over and shot at this range/match http://miculekidpa.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; They show a "state" match in March and since its not all that far from us East TX folks (just east of Shreveport) -I thought I might go. :coolgleamA:

Greetings--

I"ve shot two State matches there and a few weeknders when we were living in LVW. Decent place; well run matches.

One other odd-ball question since you've been there. How's the road into the range and parking arrangements ? Reason I ask, is when the weather permits I often like to use such trips as an excuse to ride my motorcycle. My cruiser is setup for touring with hardbags and trunk so I'll likely take a few days to zip around and see the back roads after the match. But if as is often the case the road and parking to this range are a bit primitive (gravel or worse :???: ) -then I'll take the truck :cryin

The road into the range is pretty much like a long driveway. No problems with a bike. The parking area is a grassy field, with no asphalt or concrete to park on.

This is a very good match in my opinion. I have shot it a couple of times and found good stages, nice people, and a good cajun lunch provided as part of the match fee.

thanks,
George

Thanks for the info, I'm gonna send the entry fee on Monday and hope its not already filled up.

I just noticed it has a cutoff of 115 shooters and since the North TX folks aren't hosting a State match I'm guessing the LA match will fill up quick :leaving

Just a bump for this LA match, their website shows they have 67 shooters signed up with the 115 cutoff. Its less than 4 weeks away :clapping:
