First IDPA Classifier

#1

Post by mblud »

After taking my CHL class from Tom Estep on Friday, I was so excited to try shooting IDPA that I did a quick internet search and found that Thuder Tactical was holding a classifier on Saturday. Not knowing what a Classifier was and even though the range was over 60 miles away in Conroe, I decided to head out there and see what it was all about.

What a blast! First I have to compliment the Thunder Tactical team. :hurry: Everyone was very friendly and super helpful. Steve conducted my new shooter orientation and I was impressed and happy to see the high level of safety. :thumbs2: The course was challenging and very fun. I was shocked to find that I had been classified as a Marksman. :fire Looking forward to my first competition.

Thank you for the kind words! We had a blast setting it up and running the classifier. We got 28 shooters through in just under 3 hours.

You ran 28 through the classifier? Wow. That's impressive.

Yep, SRVA, myself and two others. We had a terrific group of shooters who were great at taping and being ready with the right amount of ammo when it was their turn. Team work!
