Hello all,
I'm thinking about trying out the steel challenge this coming Sunday at PSC. Anyone have any pointers for a newbie? I only have 2 magazines, and will be shooting my sig 2022 in 9mm. I'm not 100 per cent commited to coming yet, I have only shot at the range and do not have any "competition practice" nor experience. I do want to have fun a get more trigger time though.....
Who plans on attending?
Rob

You can make it through your first match with 2 magazines. There is usually someone that will help you reload one mag. while you're shooting with the other.
Bring Eye and Ear protection, a holster that covers the trigger guard, at least 200 rounds (250 is better) (You can take home the extra ammo), Pistol, and magazines.
The Steel Challenge match is a great way to begin competitive shooting. There is little or no movement. There are only 5 targets per string. You shoot each string 5 times, so there is repetition. You discard your worst time, so there are 'Mulligans'.

See you at the range
