Battle Example 6
21 Jump Street
Load Out: 4x9 Rifle, 4x12 Pistol
Firing Sequence: Engage the rectangle with 9rd Rifle, then engage the triangle with 12rd Pistol
Battle Description:
On the call of go, athletes will hop over the crossbar of the yoke and go to the firing line to
complete the first firing sequence.
After the FS is complete, athletes will head back to the yoke and perform 4 jumps over the
crossbar of the yoke. After all 4 jumps, athletes will pick up the yoke (sling rifle in front) and
carry it across the drop zone.
After the yoke is across the drop zone, athletes will complete the next firing sequence.
After the FS is complete, athletes will complete 4 more jumps over the yoke before picking it
back up and carrying it back to the start/finish box.
After the yoke is back in the start/finish box, athletes will perform 6 jumps over the crossbar of
the yoke. After the 6 jumps, athletes will pick up the yoke and carry it to the drop zone to
complete the next firing sequence.
After the FS is complete, athletes will perform 6 more jumps over the yoke before carrying it
back to the start/finish box.
After the yoke is back in the start/finish box, athletes will perform 8 jumps over the yoke. After
the 8 jumps, athletes will pick up the yoke and carry it down to the firing line for the final firing
sequence.
After the final FS is complete, athletes will perform 8 jumps over the yoke before the final carry
back to the start/finish box with the yoke.
Time stops after the final yoke carry and it crosses into the start/finish box.
Shooting Penalties:

Work Penalties:

Re: The Tactical Games coming to Texas
Thanks again for all the great info. If I’m free, I’d definitely like to volunteer and watch the athletes in action!

Just replying to this to add that the rules have changed some.Paladin wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2019 10:09 amI noticed that too about the pistol red dot/RMR rule. The have a lot of very sensible rules and that one stands out as bit of an odd rule. Shouldn't affect me as I don't have any RMR pistols (yet).
They now allow 300 BLK and have an "Optics" division that allows RMR on the pistol. Which is great because that's all I really shoot now and really didn't want to take it off or find another gun.

I'm interested in trying this out when I'm home. Hopefully in the winter, not summer

That's actually a good idea...PriestTheRunner wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 10:29 pmRules don't prohibit a frozen IcePlate Curve being set inside the back armor....
Might have to run one for a while to see if its worth it.
Can someone do a quick overview of what a typical intermediate full competition would consist of? I want to make sure I'm capable of doing everything and not embarrass myself too badly. Shooting I'm not that worried about, but I've just now gotten more serious about fitness in the last 6 months.

Re: The Tactical Games coming to Texas
It was a solid event run by specops guys. Impressive group of competitors. This was not your average group of competitive shooters. Strong, fit, Type A personalities. Tactical Games has changed ownership and have made the physical part more difficult, and at 48 I was one of the older guys out there. Not easy at any age, but brutal at my age. As far as pure shooting goes, I held my own. I used duty style gear. The challenge was high. Would have needed race gear to get a top spot, especially with pistol. I exercise a lot, but would need to significantly revamp my fitness training to get significant improvements and even then the inevitable injuries would probably limit how far I could progress. That said there were a number of former action guy types who were my age or older who were competing well. So if you've got a solid fitness base and aren't adverse to living on pain meds it can be done.PriestTheRunner wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 9:33 pmPaladinPaladin wrote: ↑Wed Sep 01, 2021 12:40 pm I signed up for my first Tactical Games event:

I think the value of the event is high, but the shorter Skirmish format may work better for me.
