November 15th IDPA Match at Terrell Rifle & Pistol Club

It's that time again!!

You are invited to attend Terrell Rifle and Pistol Clubs Nov.15th IDPA Match.

Set up starts at 0700,Sign In at 0800 . Club Safety Officers Shoot First. "Hammer Down" at 0900.

First Time Shooters , Ladies and Juniors are encouraged to participate !!

As always, Lunch and refreshments are included in your match fee.

So come on out at shoot with a great group of people who are always glad to see you, and the usual one or two "old grouches".

Also after everyone has finished all the stages and had a chance to eat lunch , I'll be setting up a Shotgun Stage. So bring your Home Defense/3 gun shotguns or whatever you got and a box of shells. You can shoot it as many time as you wish this will be timed but not included in the regular IDPA match scores.

Any chance you might slip a 25+yard slug target in this stage ? My home defense 870 has iron sights and shoots slugs quite well, but its the one skill I rarely get to practice. Just wondered if I should bring a few slugs (and my shoulder pad )

I'll see what I can come up with, it may not be 25 yards but I can possibly get us out to 20 at least. I'm thinking center of mass on the bad guy standing between 2 no-shoots at 20 yards.

Just an Update, make sure you dress warm, there will be lots of hot coffee and hot chocolate. We'll have the heaters on in the club house with a ghetto heater outside between the firinglines. It might be windy but with it being from the north the berms should block most of it. Also remember to bring your shotguns if you wish to shoot the shotgun stage any gauge any gun plus a box of shells and a couple slugs.

We had around 40 shooters and guests.

The only way we would have had more shooters is if it had snowed !!

We were happy to introduce 7 new shooters (a couple of husband and wives) and several ladies to IDPA.

Thanks to Nancy Jones for CHILI and all the fixins for lunch. Mia TwoShields for keeping score and running the office. and JD Watson for the special Shotgun stage after lunch. And a special thanks to all our great group of Safety Officers and Volunteers without whose help thesee matches would not be possible.
