Roy Taylor has passed away
It gives me great sadness to announce that Roy Taylor passed away today. He was on his way to the club to do an orientation with new members. He pulled into a medical facility in Terrell because he felt ill. An ambulance was called but Roy could not be resuscitated. Of course there are no plans made at this time. I will post announcements as they become available.
Roy was a newly elected board member, and was a board member in the past. He was a shaping force behind the very successful IDPA program at the club. He was a well known character at the club, and he participated in several shooting sports, as well as bringing his grand daughters out to shoot. His sister Nancy Jones has been club secretary for many years. We extend our sympathy to Nancy and to the rest of Roy's family.
He will be missed.

Re: Great Loss for Terrell Rifle and Pistol Club
My prayers go out to Roy's family.
A few years ago I went down to the Terrell club to shoot in a Garand math, and brought my Springfield. Roy was kind enough to loan me some stripper clips because I had forgotten to bring any, and he was my "observer" through the match. He got a great deal of amusement from my outshooting a lot of the Garand shooters, with a bolt action.
I also participated in several IDPA matches and classifiers under Roy and will cherish his signature on my card.
